PZENIX is a leading provider of internet and network software services. We are known best for our community work, including collaborative development with multimedia developers, games companies and private businesses. Instead of taking a hard-line business approach, we prefer to take on projects which are interesting and challenging, or which can make a difference to the world we know and love.
We aim to improve the use of sensible standards on the internet by creating and maintaining informational websites, networked applications, and development support, all to the highest standards. We create reliable and functional software in collaboration with our clients. This essential cooperation is brought together by our sharing of goals and responsibilities.
Pzenix is a small, experienced group of dedicated individuals with specialist knowledge in a variety of fields, including:
We are supported by an international developer base composed of individuals from all over our humble planet. Many of these wonderful people have been with us for many years, and have worked with us on a number of projects, while others are simply interested parties that like to be involved.
Pzenix (Project Zen IX) began in 1998 under the name of Pzensix (Project Zen VI), and offered community website and application development to private individuals at no cost. Our goals were to learn about the industry, get to know the people who made it work, and play a part in the ever changing technological world around us.
As time went on, commercial entities began to enter the 'online development' arena in their droves, thus - to avoid becoming commercially inclined - our focus shifted to application development. For three years, Pzensix' main focus was the creation of scripts and modules to enhance the experience of multiplayer computer games, which were becoming ever more prominent.
After some time, our team became involved with the WDA and their quest to promote business in Wales (UK). Many high-tech Welsh businesses - especially startups - were struggling with the amount of beaurocracy they had to handle, and did not have the time or resources they wanted to devote to company development. Many more were struggling with inflated prices and dampened expectations, so we became involved.
Through @Wales (A WDA supported incubator), we were able to provide our services directly to the companies that needed our support the most, and to work closely with them to ensure that they received what they both wanted and needed. Over these years, Pzensix became Pzenix, developed branding and identity, and this brings us to the current day.
Our goals will hopefully remain the same. To help those in need, help ourselves in the process, and work to make this world that much better, one step at a time.
